The performance lasts 70 minutes without intermission.
Olga Janáčková, the daughter of Leoš Janáček. Dot. Do we want to know more? Or is it enough to know her relation to her famous father as a summary of life, story, one person´s destiny? Opera (rail) road movie Hukvaldy-Brno-Vienna-Saint Petersburg and back, with a picture of her father always behind her back and life in front of her. Well, maybe – there will be no happy end.
Musical-dramatic collage of selected works by Leoš Janáček (Amarus, Jenůfa, Elegy on the Death of Daughter Olga, Weeping Fountain, Wild Duck), songs by Petr Iljič Tchaikovsky and vocal songs by Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky.
The production is a new project of the Opera Studio of the Brno Conservatory for the Janáček Brno 2022 Festival.
