The concert by the Brno Children´s Choir and the Kühn Mixed Choir will perform two groups of works. The children´s choir has prepared three compositions by contemporary composers: Petr Řezníček, an important Brno composer whose work focused mainly on the choral work, the excellent Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, and the Israeli composer Moshe Rasiuk. The three very different compositions are connected not only by their complexity for performers, but also by their exceptional impact.
In addition to compositions by Russian romantics from the last third of the 19th century, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and César Antonovich Cui, Prague’s Kühn Mixed Choir also offers a choral by the contemporary composer Rodion Shchedrin. Additionally, they will present pieces by the contemporary Czech composer Miloš ORSON Štědroň.

Kühn’s Mixed Choir performs the concert as part of the Platform for Singing project.
