Intensiv widmet er sich auch Konzertwerken, in denen auch das Liedrepertoire eine wichtige Rolle spielt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In der Zeit der ersten Auff\u00fchrung von <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jen\u016ffa<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> am Prager Nationaltheater im Mai 1916 erschien in der Tageszeitung Lidov\u00e9 noviny in Fortsetzungen ein anonymer Gedichtzyklus mit dem Titel <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aus der Feder eines Autodidakten<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, der die Liebe eines jungen Burschen zu einem Zigeunerm\u00e4dchen schilderte. F\u00fcr dieses M\u00e4dchen verlie\u00df er seine Eltern, um f\u00fcr die Liebe und Freiheit sein bis dahin ruhiges und geordnetes Leben zu opfern. Jan\u00e1\u010dek war von dieser Geschichte fasziniert und schnitt sich den Text aus der Zeitung aus. Seinen Liedzyklus <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tagebuch eines Verschollenen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> nach dieser Vorlage begann er im August 1917 zu komponieren, nachdem er kurz zuvor in Luha\u010dovice seine sp\u00e4tere Freundin und Muse Kamila St\u00f6sslov\u00e1 kennengelernt hatte. Er unterbrach seine Arbeit an dem St\u00fcck jedoch, um sie im folgenden Jahr \u2013 wiederum ohne gr\u00f6\u00dferen Erfolg \u2013 fortzusetzen. Mit neuem Eifer widmete er sich seinem Werk erst im Jahr 1919, als er die Komposition vollendete und abschreiben lie\u00df. Doch war er mit dem <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tagebuch eines Verschollenen <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">noch immer nicht zufrieden. Der Grund daf\u00fcr war, dass ihm die Vorstellung fehlte, wie der Zyklus interpretiert werden sollte. So legte er ihn wiederum beiseite. Erst zu Beginn des Jahres 1921 wandte er sich dem St\u00fcck erneut zu, als ihm der Pianist und Dirigent B\u0159etislav Bakala und der Tenor Jaroslav Lecian einen Teil des Zyklus vortrugen. Jan\u00e1\u010dek unterzog die Komposition anschlie\u00dfend einer \u00dcberarbeitung, bevor er der \u00f6ffentlichen Auff\u00fchrung zustimmte, die am 18. April 1923 im Saal der Reduta in Brno erfolgte. Heute z\u00e4hlt das <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tagebuch eines Verschollenen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> zu den interessanten Liedzyklen des 20.\u00a0Jahrhunderts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Huw Thomas Watkins\u00a0(1976) ist ein britischer Komponist und Pianist.\u00a0Klavier und Komposition lernte er an der <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chetham%27s_School_of_Music\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chetham\u2019s School of Music<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0in Manchester, wo er im Fach Klavier ein Sch\u00fcler von Peter Lawson war.\u00a0Anschlie\u00dfend wechselte er ans <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/King%27s_College,_Cambridge\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">King\u2019s College in Cambridge<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, wo er bei <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robin_Holloway\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Robin Holloway und<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alexander_Goehr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alexander Goehr Komposition studierte<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0Huw Watkins qualifizierte sich f\u00fcr die Constant &amp;\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kit_Lambert\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kit Lambert<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Junior Fellowship am Royal College of Music, wo er anschlie\u00dfend Komposition unterrichtete. Derzeit ist er Honorary Research Fellow an<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Royal_Academy_of_Music\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0der Royal Academy of Music<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Er ist ein \u00fcberaus angesehener Komponist, der sich neben vielen anderen Gebieten auch Vokalwerken widmet.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> M\u00e4hrische Volkspoesie in Liedern <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">von Leo\u0161 Jan\u00e1\u010dek (1854\u20131928) stellt mit 53 Liedern den umfangreichsten Zyklus des Komponisten dar. Er arbeitete daran \u00fcber neun Jahre hinweg von 1892 bis 1901, also gerade in dem Zeitraum, in dem auch seine Oper <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jen\u016ffa<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> entstand.\u00a0 Jan\u00e1\u010dek befasste sich seit etwa 1888 intensiv mit der volkst\u00fcmlichen Musik und dem Sammeln von Volksliedern, wobei diese T\u00e4tigkeit ihren H\u00f6hepunkt in den Neunzigerjahren erreichte, als dieses Interesse auch in einer engen Verbindung zu seiner Kompositionst\u00e4tigkeit stand. Dem Volkslied ist er jedoch sein Leben lang treu geblieben. Auch mit Adaptionen volkst\u00fcmlicher Lieder f\u00fcr Gesangsstimme und Klavierbegleitung besch\u00e4ftigte er sich \u00fcber viele Jahre. In gewissem Ma\u00dfe experimentierte er mit ihnen, weshalb Lieder eine ganz besondere Stellung in Jan\u00e1\u010deks Schaffen einnehmen. Im Jahr 1892 publizierte der Verleger \u0160olc die zweite Ausgabe der Liedersammlung <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ein Strau\u00df m\u00e4hrischer Volkslieder,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201egebunden\u201c von Franti\u0161ek Barto\u0161 und\u00a0Lev Jan\u00e1\u010dek. Bei dieser Gelegenheit bat er Jan\u00e1\u010dek, ob dieser nicht zu den Liedern auch eine Klavierbegleitung hinzuf\u00fcgen k\u00f6nnte. Jan\u00e1\u010dek kam dieser Bitte bei f\u00fcnfzehn Volkliedern nach, die \u0160olc 1893 in einem ersten Heft herausbrachte. Ein zweites Heft mit den \u00fcbrigen 38 Liedern erschien erst im Jahr 1902.
